Did you know that real, live New Orleans music can be heard every Saturday evening in Louth? Well you do now, so there is no excuse for not coming along to listen!
The South Wolds Jazz Band was formed by John Paddon, in 1961, to keep alive the authentic New Orleans style of music. With John as its leader, the band has played together every Saturday night (except for Christmas week) for over 48 years.
The regular band, joined occasionally by visiting musicians from all over the country, play at their clubroom at 53, Queen Street, Louth from 8.30pm to 11:00pm. and it is one of very few venues where this wonderful music can be enjoyed.
The New Orleans Louth Club is a private club but guests are made very welcome. The licensed bar has very reasonable prices and also serves tea or coffee.
Entrance is £3 for members and £4 for guests.
